Freedom and Greatness?
to know what we think we know and not even realize we don't actually know..
How is it this lifetime
this evolved sense of understanding
leads back to the initial place in same...
Sad are the times you realize
this so called nation
was created on the backs of devastation...
Crooked were the ways of our leaders of men
in that day
and even so
as the story rolls
Crooked are the ways of our leaders still...
When there is hope
hope as a reason to believe again
this hope comes as a great cost...
Patriotic about what
the ideal of a freedom that cost so many so much
this so called freedom when we
are trapped in a society of accepted norms
that had been designed for the purpose
of control and defeat without us knowing
blinded and mislead
as I have written before
we are so eager to
remain
in the satisfaction of the greatest distraction
this life we participate in
the notion we are free
the idea that this nation is the example
what is forgotten are those
those slain for the greater good and expansion west
those carrying the tracks to stretch across the land
those shipped from across the ocean caged like animals
and with no worth, they served the MASTER
the master plan the scheme
to control it all
sickened again by knowing there is more i don't know
and afraid to find out,
for it is true
I'd like to believe i am a person of worth
yet when i face the mirror i see the same
disgust that i despise in this world that blinds our eyes.
sickened that this hope for a reason to believe
comes at such great cost...
faith?
i am not speaking of faith
as faith is unshaken
worth, integrity, kindness, selflessness of our very nature
these are the characteristics
we have abandoned
and replaced with some false sense of entitlement
a misplaced trust in misplaced leaders...
sickened and heavy are the toils we face
and sitting on the top of it all
this place on top that can't be seen
yet are told it is indeed the American Dream
we are bought and sold
bartered
and we don't even care to know it...
faith?
not the lack of the cause
nor the question
the uprightness of man exists in a status
no longer is it in the values....
so freedom in a nation of greatness?
